Influenza Vaccine

Patients aged 50-64 years

We have been given the influenza vaccine arrival dates for patients aged 50 to 64 years and not in a clinical risk group. The letters for this risk group have now been generated and will be sent out by next week. There is a large volume of these letters so please bare with us and wait for your letter before calling the surgery.

 NHS England Letters

If you have received a letter from NHS England about having the flu vaccine please do not call the surgery. We are aware that a large amount of patients have had this letter from NHS England but have already been vaccinated by ourselves or the chemist. This letter has not been sent out by ourselves.

Aged over 65 years Flu vaccine

We are still awaiting confirmation of our next arrival of this particular vaccine.

 Clinical risk groups vaccine

All patients who fall in to the clinical risk groups have now been invited to the final flu clinic. Letters have been sent out and should arrive by the end of this week. This year the categories most at risk are asthmatic with medication or an emergency admission, chronic heart disease, chronic liver disease, chronic neurological disease, chronic respiratory disease, extremely high risk shielding patients, currently pregnant, downs syndrome, immunosuppression, high BMI, Diabetes and chronic kidney disease. This year patients with an historical code of glandular fever were pulled in to the cohort. This was a mistake by them and therefore we can only apologise if you were sent a flu letter stating you were at risk.
