This vaccination is to protect you from serious forms of pneumococcal infection. If you are over 65 and have not received the pneumococcal vaccination please contact the Surgery and make an appointment to see the Practice Nurse if you are under 65 but in one of the at risk groups such as COPD, Asthma, Heart Disease, Diabetes etc you are also encouraged to have the vaccination.
